SME Winners in the Standard Bank Supplier Development Awards announced

The winners of the inaugural Standard Bank Supplier Development Recognition Awards were announced on 29 November in Johannesburg, following a Summit  geared towards SMEs. The Standard Bank Supplier Development Recognition Awards celebrate extraordinary SMEs, disruptors, change-makers, and leaders who excelled in the Standard Bank Supplier Development program across five categories.

Kholofelo Shaai, Head of Supplier Development at Standard Bank says: “We are excited to showcase the outstanding achievements of SMEs in our Supplier Development program. The winners represent the spirit of innovation, growth, and resilience that we aim to foster within the SME sector.”

The 2023 winners are:

Innovation Category

Acknowledging SMEs that have demonstrated exceptional creativity, originality, and forward-thinking in their businesses, including technological innovations

Recognizing SMEs that have effectively scaled their operations, expanded market reach, and achieved financial success.

Social and Environmental Impact Category

Celebrating SMEs making a positive difference in local communities, going beyond commercial success to create tangible social benefits

Digital Transformation Category

Acknowledging SMEs leveraging digital technologies to enhance business operations and drive efficiency and innovation.

Resilience Category

Recognizing SMEs that have adapted to changing circumstances, continuing operations despite setbacks like COVID-19, load shedding, or unfavourable economic conditions.
