Bridges to Success leverages the expertise of educational professionals, multidisciplinary practitioners and experts in child development, K-12 education reform and post secondary retention and completion. This wealth of knowledge facilitates educational success for Bridge Ready males from early childhood through young adulthood.

The conveners of this partnership are three nationally renowned research centers based at the UNC-Chapel Hill, working in tandem with the Global Scholars Academy (GSA), a state-of-the-art Durham, NC-based laboratory school serving pre-K through 8th grade. This partnership allows us to pilot innovative and strategic interventions, which have the potential to make measurable improvements while advancing new evidence and knowledge for educating Bridge Ready males.

The Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute (FPG)

The Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute (FPG) is devoted to the study of young children and their families. They work on vital projects related to developmental disabilities; early care and education; physical and social health; professional development, public policy and evaluation; and racial, ethnic, linguistic, cultural, and socioeconomic diversity.

UNC Center for Community Capital (CCC)

The UNC Center for Community Capital (CCC) supports innovation in financial services that help low-income households achieve financial security. CCC believes access to higher education is one of the fundamental assets contributing to upward mobility.
